Ephesus is an antique Greek city in Izmir. Ephesus is also an holy city for Christianity. It is recorded that it was once an important city at antique Roman but now it’s just an historical city. It belongs to Izmir, a great, historical and important city for Turkey. According to the history experts, the history of Ephesus dates back to at least, more than 3000 years. It is also very easy to access Ephesus because of it’s being such an important tourism place.

As I stated before, Ephesus is an important place for Christianity. House of Virgin Mary, Temple of Artemis, Basilica of St John, Temple of Hadrian and Seven Sleepers are among the most famous and important Christianity places in Ephesus. House of Virgin Mary can be considered as the most important place for sure. As you can easily remember, Pope Benedict visited the House of Virgin Mary, Ephesus at the year of 2006 and it is an important and religious place in Christianity. Library of Celsus is another great historical place in Ephesus. It’s the ruins of an old Roman library, according to the experts it was once a huge library but it was buried in a fire. At last, I want to talk about Ephesus Theater, it is still very huge and amazing to visit. The capacity of Ephesus Theater is about 25, 000 of people and there are some concerts and other types of cultural activities at different times of a year. All in all, Ephesus a great place to visit and spend a holiday for many reasons.
