What is Ramadan?

Ramadan is the most holy month in Islam. In ramadan, The Qur'an was sent to the World by Allah. Allah is the creator of all things and, the most merciful and the most compassionate. The Qur'an was sent through the last and the greatest prophet Muhammed (Peace be upon him). In the last part of the ramadan, there is a holy night called "Qadr" at which the holy Qur'an was actually sent. This is determined by  a surah in the holy Qur'an. It says:" In the name of  Allah, most gracious, most merciful. We have indeed revealed this message in the night of power.  And what will explain to thee what the night of power is? The night of power is better than a thousand Months. There in come down the angels and the Spirit. By Allah's permission, on every errand: Peace! ... This  until the rise of Morn!"
