Turkish Tea

Turkish tea, (Turkish called: çay) is a type of tea that is very popular drink in Turkey. Almost every Turkish people, daily several times drinking tea.

Turkish tea, a form of black tea, is produced on the eastern Black Sea coast, which has a mild climate with high precipitation and fertile soil. The most popular Turkish tea brands are : Çaykur and Doğuş. Within Turkey, the tea is usually known as Rize tea. Virtually all of the tea is produced in the Rize province, a Turkish province on the Black Sea coast.

Turkish tea is typically prepared using two stacked kettles (çaydanlık) especially designed for tea preparation. Turkish tea to drink, have a special tea cups.

Tea is an important part of the Turkish culture. Many people prefer to drink tea, instead of coffee.
